It's quite telling they are only willing to ship the recorders to CDG and give the BEA only time to recover the data, not download and analyze it. Ever since their Egypt 990 suicide denial-mode, they have lost all credibility. That, along with the "we have no proof it was a bomb!" on the MetroJet A321, when the rest of the world has shown conclusive evidence (fuselage shrapnel blast outward, parts of the bomb itself, etc).
