If we hold out until Spirit gets their contract we probably will get a much better deal. And I'm saying this as a guy on first year pay and a family of four desperate for a pay raise. Big picture thinking is crucial here though since WE WILL be stuck with this for the next 10 years. We are the most profitable company in the country, we should be treated accordingly. I understand we can't demand legacy rates, but let's be the highest paid and best work rules LCC out there!
That's a big problem and a horrible way to think... Why don't you deserve legacy rates? It doesnt matter who sits in the back of your airplane... They could pay fo's $200/hr and still be wildly profitable... They don't want to because their bonus check might be $995,000 instead of $1,000,000... In the end, fight for what you deserve... I work for the lowest paid major in the whole country and I see no reason why we shouldn't be seeking absolute top tier rates... In the end each pilot has wants and desires in their cba and they'll vote accordingly... That's why everyone gets s vote... Remember too that QOL, work rules and scope are FAR more important than hourly rates
