The chance to do laundry and take a crap without your phone in your hand. If you're senior enough to hold a line, maybe you get off early on your Friday and have a whole day and a half off. Awesome! Single days off are total bs and unacceptable. Even my landscaper gets two days off in a row and I'm pretty sure he's illegal. To those who say "you knew what this airline was when you hired on" so you can't complain about single days, you're an idiot. In my 10+ years at this company, I NEVER had single days until Merlot came along. Besides, life changes. When I was hired, I was young, single and just picked up and moved wherever the company sent me. Now I'm old and have a life outside of work so single days off just doesn't work. I don't care what your seniority is, just flat out wrong!!
In my opinion, stop talking about UAL, DAL, AA. We're not a legacy, never will be. But the fact we can't even have work rules as good as our (true) peers is troubling. Pay rates are secondary to me. I don't care how much I make if I'm still getting bent over by inadequate work rules.
Pretty much exactly how I feel. So far the rules I'm seeing are weak at best and while there are improvements, there are areas where we appear to actually take a step backwards from what we have now.
