The real issue is safety and training vs. training by proxy and on the cheap. We've seen this before, and management has gotten away with it. No accidents, it must be safe. After all, NASA and the space shuttle got away with it, for a while...
PDR it, write FSAP's as unsafe.
While a good point but not sure it applies here. This is mostly a case of "this function is now over on this page of the FMGC". Not sure what other type of training would one need for something like this.
