No one is denying that you guys got f'ed, but it doesn't make you special. Or exotic. Not in this biz. I'll bite and let you shut me up here but the difference between you and me is that I expect that kind of treatment from brown. What made you think you were different?
I'm far from special, believe me. As to what I am doing to get out of here, that's up to me, but believe me that I am trying. You never answered my question, and that fine. Saying I got Féd (along with 108 other guys) is one thing, living it is another. You say you expect that kind of treatment, well expecting it and LIVING it are two totally different things.
My guess is you are far senior to me, and have not endured what "we" did. Does that make me special, hell no, but it does mean that my perspective and yours are on completely different levels of existence. We simply cannot have a comparitve conversation unless you have lived it, that's all I am saying. I'm not better, nor worse, and certainly not special.
As to your "come back" comment, believe me that if I had a better option that I would have. Hard to get a job with "furloughed brown"nailed to your resume. Don't believe me? Try it sometime. I was amazed at how many people naively thought that you could just walk up to DL,AA,AS, whoever and just get a job. Too many other carriers had been burned by furloughed guys, we were no different.
So we have drifted quite far from the intent of the OP's thread, so to bring it back to my OPINION, is that if the people applying here have other choices they should exercise them.
