That doesn't sound like a union problem. Sounds like the company is going to have to come to grips with the fact that they're not going to be able to get that perfect pilot anymore and they're going to have to start accepting mere mortals as new hires.
If you guys cave on scope before your company bleeds the regionals, LCCs etc. dry of pilots then you get what you deserve.
