So, usually only if the base you are trying to pickup in is short, they will consider it, but only if your base has lots of staffing, and even then, the average crew desk person won't know how to do it. They have to talk to their supervisor, to figure out how, and to approve it.

Bottom line is, it can be done, but is fairly rare. Kind of like our trip trade system...
The only contractual provision for out of base aggressive pickup by reserves is for AMC and CRAF trips. 20-H-6 allows CS to cover the open trip from another base with FC deadheading on both ends. I like FC deadheading. I have never heard of an out of base aggressive pickup by a RSV.

20-P-2 Out-of-Base Lineholder Eligibility. 20-P-2-a Trips become eligible for out-of-Base Lineholder pick up or trade starting at 1300 on the day before the Trip reports.
