However, after saying that, it is entirely up the crew scheduler. They are reluctant to do that, because in most cases, you are doing it for pay--and that increases their costs needlessly. I did it so I wouldn't have to commute.

So, usually only if the base you are trying to pickup in is short, they will consider it, but only if your base has lots of staffing, and even then, the average crew desk person won't know how to do it. They have to talk to their supervisor, to figure out how, and to approve it.

Bottom line is, it can be done, but is fairly rare. Kind of like our trip trade system...
