Now this brings back some fond memories from the old E120 days. Trying to fly IFR into there through the China Lake "corridors" and time windows. Constant no-joke severe turbulence during descent into 40 knot winds and trying to complete the 1 mile circling approach to RWY20 and not getting yelled at by Joshua approach for penetrating R-2505, all the while airport going in and out of sight with the blowing dust. Tumbleweeds pummeling the aircraft on the runway after basically crash landing in the hellacious winds and then seeing a couple race-cars on the short runway. Then follow up with a 20 minute van ride to Ridgecrest and the Carriage Inn for the overnight, complete with green shag carpet and duck wallpaper in the bathrooms. Ahhhh the glory......have fun with this one!
