They really did push the Delta Care Fund deduction. I remember the guy telling us that 100% of the new hires contribute, and that if any of us removed our deduction afterwards that he would "hunt us down". I am not exaggerating.. To each their own, if you want to contribute to a charity of your choosing then you should do so and be happy with your efforts. The sell job was so hard it convinced me to focus my charity elsewhere.
Yup. We got the ol "100% of previous new hires have contributed" line as well. He then came around and stood in front of us to collect the forms one by one. He also gave us the line "If you can't afford $5 a month let me know and I will pay you back until you get on second year pay"
I don't have a problem with part of the program, but then he explains one of the funds has provided scholarships to pilots so they can get their masters degree. Why should we fund a fellow pilots academic pursuits when they already have the job?
