You forget there's a third party involved....AS management. You can bet your last dollar they will stall as long as possible to whipsaw the AS pilots against the VX pilots. Here's their quote from the JA merger:

"Either you give us concessions or we'll shrink AS and grow JA."

Guess what? The AS guys caved. When that happens again (in a year or two) the VX leases will be coming due and they'll return those jets and furlough. And why not? The airplanes plainly say "Proudly All Boeing" right on the nose. Without a JCBA and a SLI, they'll be able to furlough the VX employees as the Airbus leaves the property. Remember, AS has more Boeings on order than VX has airplanes.

In their generosity, they'll give the VX folks preferential interviews to weed out the guys who left AS for quick VX upgrades.

Sorry guys, but a leopard can't change their spots and neither can the Angle Lake crowd.
