Depends on how they interpret the rules that FPnA hand down, you always get a single occupancy hotel, but some places you have to share cars (this has been a huge deal, apparently we have to be flexible but the company doesn't), essentially if there is a hotel shuttle to the airport, then they like to play games with the cars. If you know someone who lives near the airport you'll be working out of and you can stay with them, then you can take the "hotel option" which they pay you for half of what they would have spent on a hotel (usually you pocket over a grand, depending). Per diem is paid at 24 hours a day, minus the DH beginning. We are assuming (no roadshow yet) that the rules will remain the same and allow the company to maximize their ability to move people around and minimize our ability for some semblance of stability.
