Looking for some advice: I interviewed March 22nd and was put on the preferential hiring list on March 28th. I received an email from DB on 06/27 telling me that KF would be calling me "soon" about class dates. I still haven't heard a peep. Would it be appropriate to call either DB or KF to try to get an update? I've been waiting for months now, and I really need to start this job soon before my current job kills me.

Did you get an email the other day asking you to reapply by going to
this website? I emailed them back asking why I had to reapply and I got a fairly quick reply back saying, "We are asking everyone from your interview group to 'reapply' in our new system, so that once you are invited to a class you can receive the necessary new hire paperwork. You will have to create a profile and complete the PAQ again, but you will not have to retake the test or interview again."
If you didn't get the email to reapply, I would definitely email DB and/or KF and ask if you may have fallen through the cracks.
