I'm sick and tired of reading this BS by people who don't have the slightest clue of what's going on here. If I were to say Envoy is perfect I'd be lying. I've been here around a year and a half. Holding a decent line with 12-14 days off every month. 5 month new hires are holding either composite or full lines. If I don't like my line I can trade trips and make it work for myself and my family. I'm on track to make 50k this year even with having 1st year pay the first two months of the year. Could things be better? Hell yeah. Not only here but in other regionals. I have friends that are having a worse time at TSA, Air Whiskey, GoJet etc. There's a lot to be done but this is not a bad place to work for. I'm not a cheerleader by any means but it gets tiring to see people bashing a company that has great people without even experiencing it first hand. Granted I did not go through bankruptcy here and this has been MY experience.
Of course someone would say such positive things without having to sacrifice their profession. Hell, I would probably be just as positive as you if I got $$$ just for being hired and retain my services.
But nope, I'm just a 9-year captain, who is forced to commute on reserve, and is too expensive. Company would be grateful to see my butt out the door. (Sad to say, probably every other pilot below me on the list.)
It's amazing when you actually get to be in the shoes of your peers. I completely understand now why my captains I flew with were so grumpy and distraught. This corporation is clearly set on one thing, and it's not safety. Everything that comes out of corp leaders is complete hypocrisy. That's why I can not trust anything they project, say, promise, teach, or preach. If they gripe about a captain focusing on conducting a safe flight around wx and preflight the AML throughly, and gripe about the delay you took to do it professionally? Then there are serious issues in play here.
