Why any candidate would put up with what Hawaiian puts them through, no travel, no hotel, short notice, embarrassingly low pay, poor treatment in general is beyond me. If you have any other options pursue them to the fullest, if nothing else works out, Hawaiian is a good place to get started while you build experience for the majors or a real grown up airline. Hawaiian is somewhat the clown car of aviation companies.
Make it highly inconvenient for mainlanders and to a degree you can control the demographics of your pilot group.
