Nothing he could do. I always remembered this and applied it whenever I had to leave guys behind. This silver captain didn't bother to come up to explain to us why he couldn't fit anymore weight. Thanks again for the input.
I would love to tell you that the folks here at Silver have lots of time on the ground but we just don't. We are always running late and almost never have enough time to do something like that even if we wanted to. We are only just minutes before leaving finishing up the Weight and balance by hand with one engine running about to turn the other. So when we do know, we really don't have time to get out of the plane, walk on the ramp, up the walkway up to the gate then up the gate just to say sorry. The folks behind the desk should say it for us when we call ops to let them know.
I will say this much tho, we never have any problems taking people jump-seating either in the back or up front if we can. Aleast that was how it was when i was working there a few months ago.
