Money - as has been said on here numerous times - isn't everything. And the point is that he made the decision that made sense for him. I was not trashing him for it at all. I was merely pointing out that his potential for movement at LUV isn't all that great right now. You made the discussion something else.
I made the discussion about how it is a no-brainer for the pilot to drive to work despite being in the right seat, even though it will likely be a longer upgrade.
Dozens per days of commuting each year that won't happen, while having the most productive schedule in the industry and great vacation.
