Hello, considering making the jump to Republic from 135. Question about bases, live in Orlando and would like to eventually end up in MIA. I know it will take a while so I would put down LGA or EWR since I have family up there. How does that work for me if I fly for UA and then AA? Meaning would I have to trade-in uniforms? Nothing but minor differences in ops. One uniform regardless. You will be eligible for UA and AA benefits regardless of base / flying. Most bases support both so you can fly an AA trip on week, UA next. Currently MIA is only AA. From what i hear MCO - MIA is a nightmare commute we have a lot of MCO guys who rather commute to PHL. Some have even tried MIA only to switch back.
