The folks interviewing me knew everything I had in my application/resume. I doubt it was what my degrees were in that moved me up, as you said computer sorting. However, folks who were asking me questions knew what I had studied. I did appreciate that they took the time and effort to study me a bit after I spent a bit of time prepping.
