Something doesn't seem right here. If you made it through training, except the final ride (LOE?) why would they kick you out? That is a waste of time and money for everyone involved. Every other place I know you get a second try after meeting with the training review board or whatever you call it, try again after remedial training and try again. If that fails then and only then you are shown the door. If after one ride you get shown the door, I have to ask, was there any road bumps along the way? (Progress check? Extra sim time? Failed calssroom tests/events? Anything other than perfect?). Or was this the one and only thing? and I mean the ONLY THING...?
That's my point. The FAA needs to get involved if instructors are sending people for a check ride without being confident in their success. Too many failures would be a red flag and show inefficiencies in the training department the HR department or both.
