Well at one point Republic bought Frontier. A long time ago Comair was going to buy Spirit but then Delta purchased Comair putting an end to that.

I sure hope an RJ company wouldn't try taking Spirit over. I would say right now we are just too expensive. Now one of the big 3 just may have the cash. I wouldn't hold my breath.
