NW had a bank, I never flew under that program but I've heard stories, perhaps the ones who have worked under that system can tell us if they like the Delta 270, use it or lose it, better?
I wish I had all my 30+ years of unused sick leave available for use now! You are all just one bad car wreck, or illness, or EKG blip away from a 50% pay cut!
There has been a lot of discussion on this sight about wether FNWA guys "lost" their accrued sick leave in the merger. That is a different topic. I had 1700+ hours of sick leave in the bank at the time. I always viewed it as an insurance policy for my later years. I can say that it was my experience that I never flew with anyone who came to work sick so as not to use their bank.
I wish I had had it when I had Achilles surgery in 2010 and was out for 6 mos. and had to rely on DPMA to come even close to my normal monthly pay.
