So much this. the contract is 2 years if you're really low time. Rumors are that it can be 18 months if you're hired with around 500 hours or so. The schedules are good, and your bids will improve quickly because the regionals are sucking up all the pilots. It doesn't matter who you work for at this point if your goal is to go to the regionals afterward. It;s a great learning experience as to how an airline works. I have much respect for CFI's but if you want to really learn about how to handle weather, and operations before hitting a 121, Then AC1 is as good as any. I mean it's going to take you about 1.5-2 years to hit 1500 hours unless you're flying 100 hours a month anyways.
