There is substantial evidence pointing that there will be very little to zero new hires in the next few classes as Recall folks are getting first nod. In fact, someone sent me a text that shows and email that "no interviews will be conducted until December/January timeframes (this was sent directly from BK)."
I'm curious as to how many recall pilots are out there...
Not surprised. Almost all recalls could come back and hold a CA bid on the next vacancy, at the very least a wide body FO bid. The TA extension gave them full longevity for pay, unless they are based at home, very senior or hate United its a no brainer to come back. They will make significantly more as a wide body FO than they will as CA at any other airline out there, except maybe Southwest.
