It may slow down for net hires but I don't think it's going to be impossible to go, and if lifers are what you're worrying about then going to Skywest isn't going to make it any better especially when it comes around to upgrade time.
The lifer bases here at 9E are the junior bases at OO. I'd be willing to bet that a new hire at OO today holds DTW captain before a newhire at 9E holds DTW captain. Or MSP for that matter. And that's where the source of discontent is, myself included.
Because NYC has worked out so well for Delta Connection carriers in the past...
