The West Coast Expansion was a management planted rumor so that we would stop talking about VX. As soon it was announced that we lost, management had to answer the question before it was asked and they did.

"Now what"?

"We are going to expand on the West Coast Organically".

A year from now we will still be looking for jets and gates and whatever else and management will say to those who are still hanging on to this rumor that management is in fact still working hard to make it happen.

Move on; it is all bull!

I know the rumor is everywhere. The rumor fire was started in LAS at the leadership conference and then the managers returned to the field and the rumor spread systemwide from there. It was intended to be spread across the system and have momentum of its own. But there is no substance to the rumor, IMO. If there was it would have not been a rumor. Jetblue would have been quite about it and then Bam! This is what we are going to do.

Instead we have management floating hints and hope!
