They have been doing that since they started hiring in 2013. In my opinion it's not good practice to turn so many people down. Especially since everyone is qualified. I don't think any other airline out there turns down roughly 50%
Airborne Express turned down way more, so did AA, DAL, and United during the same era. At the time Airborne Express was the highest paying airline per hour in the US and denied the most.
