Who else is hiring that requires a training contract? Maybe a regional of two? Not many folks I know even if they are still an FO at a regional would be willing to sign a training contract to take a pay cut to fly a larger jet.
Good for those guys and gals willing to make the commitment but it sure isn't the place it used to be and the grass is greener when it comes down to it. Frontier management knows this and that's why they want to lock folks in and recoup their training costs and run folks at bottom pay before they bail.
