I'm at the training center now. The instructors down here are discussing the difficulties we face on the line on the 145. One of the difficulties is staffing, especially the left seat. There's no cure for the left seat issue other than upgrades, and upgrades are enough to draw FO's from either the CRJ or the 175 to the 145 if that's where the upgrades are. The pay is the same no matter the fleet type. Unfortunately SJS has gripped the newhires and all they want is the 175, that leaves a big hole in the 145 staffing - but let me be clear, we're not short 145 FO's yet. At some point that will change and the answers are incentives to get newhires to choose the 145, or displacements.

That's where we're at. It's a possibility, but we haven't hit the decision point yet that will force a course of action. It is not currently on any radar other than the rumor mill. If it happens, the pilots will be the last to know.
