Whether or not the above holds true - remains to be seen. A few new-hires in my class attempted it and were spanked pretty quickly.
Yes, you are right. But after a year of mil leave you come back to second year pay. Still on probation, but at least you have a fighting chance to afford some furniture and food at the FDA.
