Update: my dad talked to our insurance agent about costs and all. The insurance agent said he has a guy that he knows who refuses to let the plane sit. He will often rent the plane out for obviously a higher price to offset costs and repairs, etc. He said that the guy did the training in the aircraft and will end up selling it after the training without having to put a ton in on his side since he rented it so much.
