The company management isn't going to give you more money or qol bumps out of goodness of their hearts. They feel you're fairly compensated for the work you do and see you picking the slack and volunteering for trips, cleaning to get the planes turned on time etc. and see that the majority of your pilot group does as well.
Once they start feeling the pinch of staffing and retention issues they'll be more motivated to give you a better contract. Bottom line is its all about the profit and giving you more reduces theirs. Don't expect them to do it willingly... It has to be in their mutual interest.
Are any pilots still cleaning planes? No blue gloves here.
