Has the union specifically said in some email that we are short 4-500 pilots? Why is picking-up RSAs specifically a problem? Why not VDAs? or guys flying over 90 hour credit? or guys that don't bid enough vacation?
It seems to me that RSAs should be the LEAST offensive, guys are getting premium pay and they may not even fly - that increases average cost. Wouldn't the worse offenders be the guys that build up their line over 90 hours WITHOUT RSAs/VDAs etc.
Because we are in negotiations! Alpa can not tell us to not pick up trips, RSA, ect. It's illigal until self help stage. RSA are the quickest way to stop bailing out the company. Without them there would be mass cancelations and it would hurt their pocket book. It's the quickest way to let them know we are not happy with our current contract.
