If I get offered a job do I have any room to ask if they were able to match my bonus up front? It will suck missing out on a check for 3k.

Bonuses are EXTREMELY rare in this industry. I've been flying for 10years professionally mostly corporate, some airline and have never been offered a bonus to sign on. I'm not sure where you are looking for a job but if it isn't a regional that states a sign on bonus I wouldn't think the chances are high. It's all about who you work for though, might be generous enough to match it. All you can do is ask and the worse they can say is "no". Good luck on everything...
