I applied the very first day I was eligible and interviewed at the earliest date I could.

Why blame ALPA first I do not blame Delta ALPA my gripe is with EDV ALPA. They consistently made statements that FO's would not have any success during the interview thus they would not entertain the opertounity to negotiate an amended agreement allowing FO's to interview. Shockingly enough the FO's have blown the Captains out of the water CJO wise. When they finally did they came out and picked a vacancy and if you were a Captain on that vacancy then you fell into the Captain pool. Those in this pool of pilots would go ahead of all FO's that received a CJO until the point where the Captain CJO list was exhausted. To this day there are still Captains doing their first and SECOND interviews that will jump ahead of all the FO's who have had a CJO for over a year.

I had my app in for an off the street interview since 2008 with multiple internal LOR's and had my stuff sent in via the internal recommendation. It was not for lack of effort I did not get called off the street. Like I said I took the first opportunity I had to interview.

Don't take what I said the wrong way I am extremely happy that I have a CJO in my hand and I cannot wait to move over to Delta. However it is a real shot in the nuts from ALPA letting Captains that have been lazy or did not pass their first interview to leap frog all the FO's that have been busting their hump for 8+ years, put in the effort and were successful in the interview.

Seniority is everything in this business and the FO SSP CJO holders are losing more and more every week.
