Take a step back, this would be like the Compass flows of late 2015 complaining that they had to wait for some of the senior pilots to them to leave and how they should go first.
All the Endeavor SSP is, is a list of Endeavor pilots flowing to Delta after they pass their interview. In Seniority Order.
Not quite..
The SSP is structured in essentially two categories: Captain pool and First Officer pool.
The Captains will always move to Delta before any first officer. Right now I believe the CA pool is dried up, yet there are approx 200 first officers in the FO pool, with the #1 FO in that pool having interviewed in January of 2015. So any EDV CA interviewing now would have a very good chance of moving to Delta next month.
Where your wrong with the seniority is, pilots are placed in seniority order on the overall appropriate list (CA/FO) in seniority order for the month in which the interview. So if an FO with a 1000 seniority # interviews in May, and an FO with a 999 seniority # interviews in June, the 1000 would go ahead of 999, because 1000 interviewed a month before 999 did. Had they both interviewed in the same month, 999 would go before 1000. Same goes with Captains. There are a ton of ex EDV CA that are below me on the Delta seniority that were way senior to me at EDV, I just chose to interview as quick as I could. Others chose to wait, or didn't make it their first time and had to wait the required time to reinterview and were successful the second time. So again, It's not seniority in the true sense.
Difference between the compass flows, at compass, those pilots knew exactly who was flowing and their number on the overall list didn't change, and it was a much more accurate gauge of measuring when one might move to Delta. The FOs really have no idea, it's strictly based on how many captains at EDV keep receiving CJOs. When the very first FO received her CJO back in Jan 15 she was looking at approx a 13-14 month wait with the list of CA waiting to move at that time. It's now been 18 months, still not at Delta. . Plus the hold back seniority numbers compass had, that SSP guys do not have.
I completely understand Sturbmaster and most others frustration with the lazy EDV CAs interviewing now for the first time, when they had literally YEARS to get it done. Fortunately the interview team at Delta knows this and it doesn't bode well for them.
