It's the cult indoctrination day. You go over to the TOPS building and the pilot class along with whoever else started that week are taught chants, sing songs, and are generally annoyed for the day. After the day is over you go to the deck party where they hopefully have plenty of free booze.
38,000 employees (77% of the total labor force) have officially asked via their respective unions for top management to step down. That doesn't seem to reconcile with the deck party theme.
