Excellent idea. 135 and 91 ops have used part-timers for years. A lot of these folks have extensive flight experience and thousands of hours of flight time in turbines and could be used to fill the gap. At one time, several regionals promoted the idea as well, but the Unions would not allow it. But for that, market forces should decide.
