As a general rule, the flight deck of aircraft used in 121 ops is not as loud of a place as anything in the GA world.

Smaller and lighter should be your goals.

Telex, clarity aloft, DC Pro-x... think along those lines. If you want extra noise reduction, wear earplugs under them.
