Just curious how any instructors on this forum, have had students who have FAR Part 61 flight hours can use those training hours towards any ratings to be acquired under FAR 141. More specifically, can students training for the R-ATP minimums use FAR 61 hours towards ratings that they are trying to acquire under FAR Part 141 and how many. Is it a percentage of hours? Do they need to log all hours from an approved 141 school or university? On the FAA 8710, you check the box for the type of practical test training you received. Is that the determining factor, when you fill out the 8710? Thanks in advance for any positive feedback.
The only one where you can use part 61 hours in a 141 program is the cross country time building for commercial and is limited to 25% of the hours flown under part 61. The rest of the training needs to follow the syllabus.
I don't understand your question about the 8710.
