I am in that boat, I am a Sim instructor and have some pretty good ins with a few companies. But I want DAL so I am willing to wait. Maybe I am not making the right choice by waiting but having a chance to be home Based eventually at DAL is worth more to me then higher seniority but always commuting elsewhere.

I am just pointing out how even with the amount of pilots being hired, there are a lot of qualified guys waiting in line here which is helping with staffing.
JMHO but with how the industry is going right now, if I were you I'd bail ASAP to the first major that actually took you. Then, if you still want it, do a lateral. Majors get off on hiring pilots from other majors. Always have always will. And if you don't get it, you'll be at a far better place than any regional, and with more seniority to boot.

I'm glad Endeavor is finally getting its act together operationally and I'd like to see a successful (but ever shrinking) "go-to" regional because DL has pee'd in the wind for decades with poor regional decisions. Build them up, whipsaw them, nuke them down, create a crisis because of it, lather, rinse, repeat. Pathetic MBA nonsense that has cost the corporation many, many, many billions of dollars and directly funded their competition while doing it.

I'd like to see a strong Endeavor contract, as opposed to the band-aid ""temporary" retention bonus nonsense, and a pathway to DL would be awesome (although it would need to come with a flow down IMO but that's another discussion).

Absolutely go for DL, but in the meantime, if you can get to AA/UA/FX/UPS first I'd say run don't walk.
