Latest nominee: the UAL CA who nonrevved on us (Skywest) a couple days ago. I greeted him as he boarded with a friendly 'welcome aboard, Captain', only to be completely ignored. Is it required for all non-revs to acknowledge you and say thanks? If he was pass riding what is the big deal? He was using a seat in the cabin and sounds like you were trying to elicit a thanks for giving him the ride when in actuality it was his pass privilege that actually got him the ride.
Also was this on a route that was previously flown as a manline flight? Perhaps the "thanks for flying the route I previously flew" would not have been received well by you and your need for acknowledgement.
