My old FLM was cool with OT, new one is the same. I had a pay period that had a double-fatality and a previously planned airshow, and ended up with 30 hours of OT. The manager wasn't happy and made the FLM ask me to 'adjust my work week'. The FLM told me 'try if you can, but I'm not gonna insist'.
At this point, my schedule is so damned full that (and I'm new enough that I stupidly try to offer some customer service to those i come in contact with), I just do what is needed and put in for the OT.
I'm relatively new, and didn't have any prior credit, so annual leave accrues slowly. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the upcoming 'comp time' versus OT. My wife works during the week, so weekends are important to me (one of the reasons I joined the agency). My feeling is if I'm going to work a weekend there ought to be some incentive (OT or comp time I can use for leave).
