Don't be so naive.
Or did you not think they knew about Houston closing when they initially sent the secret email about losing Mexico flying ? Which only came after months of rumors being confirmed via uniteds reservation system and Mesa crews.
Your can't possibly be that naive.
IAH is not a part of this discussion. SkyWest may have had an idea where the DL flying was going but anybody with half a brain knows at the regional level things are subject to change at a moments notice and we are completely at the mercy of where mainline says that flying goes.
But while we are on it, SEA and PDX reserve staffing isn't below mins like SFO / LAX/ DEN. It's the other UA 175 bases that we have that don't have proper staffing. Hmmm maybe because a shift in where that UA flying went as opposed to where we thought the majority of it would be???
According to your elementary logic, SkyWest said Eff it. Let's blatantly have terrible QOL for a certain percentage of our pilot group while we let 50+ qualified guys sit at home not used.
You should go to SGU and fix all these problems because you seem to have answers and know the future.
