That's what happens when Association officers allow the concept of seniority to be subverted. Not many airlines allow more junior pilots dibs on the best equipment and schedules and even pay and like it or not, that is the end result of the concepts in play. Unfortunately, the same officers don't want to rock any boats and jeopardize their own magic carpet ride to AA and so it goes. Just remember though in the future when certain situations are presented, that same dynamic will remain in play and you may be caught up in the swirl of the next flush.
I get why other first officers would be hostile, and that the very same thing could happen to me. I fully expect to be pushed down the list via displacement as the CRJ leaves the fleet. I can't argue with past negotiations or policy implementation because I didn't have a dog in the fight. I just want to fly and have the best QOL that I can hope for.
