If they are smart, they want it done before 2019 when all the legacy contracts "me too" clause start taking affect. The asking price just went up after the Allegiant contract happened. Just for a fun rumor that has no support to it. A friend at United said they were looking to buy Spirit because why take over our 319s when they can get them with the company!
