I'm not going to negotiate specifics on this board.

The NC has already talked about conceding 29/7 which was the reason for half of my transition conflicts, so we are giving up things.

Allegiant's end rates in 2021 don't even touch what united makes today not to mention that united jumps to whatever delta negotiates as soon as delta signs. Then both united and American open negotiations again in 2019. Allegiant is going to be living under that thing for 10 years and it's going to look a lot worse than what we have now in just a few years. They are going to feel a little taken in a short time from now.

We are losing money everyday but I'd rather get the right deal than spend the 10 years following ratification losing money based on the market. This is the best negotiating environment we could ever see in a career. Every airline is printing money, the supply side is drying up slowly and every airline is hiring. It's the perfect storm. If we don't get it this cycle we never will. All that could change in an instant, sure, but I'm not going to agree to something subpar because there might be another 9/11 next week. And you can bet management will come looking for give backs any time there is a hiccup. We don't have that luxury and only can get raises when we are amendable so we have to get it now. No stepping stone contracts, no back loaded raises. I want it at dos. Management is playing their only card right now and that's the railway labor act stalling. It's a ford and Harrison staple. It's designed to wear us down and accept less.

When I sit on jumpseats of other airlines I hear "industry leading" "platform plus" etc and even at Jetblue. I'm not sure why we can't have the same attitude. The company proposed back on December basically what allegiant just signed and we laughed at them. Let's not waiver. We fly to same airports as every other airline in the country, in the same airplanes, with more people, and less support. We are professionals. Get paid like a professional. A spinal surgeon does 5-10 surgeries a week and I bet he thinks it's easy just like we think it's easy to shoot an approach down to mins in a blizzard. That's because we are pros. I'm not saying we should make professional spinal surgeon money but I absolutely think we should make professional A320 money. It's easy because you're a pro. Get paid like a pro and don't devalue yourself or the job you do.
