Next time your secured on the chocks right after shutdown. Release the park brake and jam on the toe brakes a few times. Especially one of the older jets. See how long the accumulator holds pressure. Then ask yourself. Do you really want to be taxing around a major airport during a push, in snow, fatigued, on one hydraulic pump? For a company that puts cost above all else???

Why would you be taxing around fatigued? Or single engine in snow for that matter? If you're that worried about it start them both every time, nobody said you can't.
If you're down to the accumulator the last thing you want to do is hit the brakes several times. One smooth application should stop the jet then set the PB.
