You'll learn everything you need to know during training. I wouldn't worry too terribly much about trying to get ahead of the game. If you want to do some early prep, I'd suggest reading "The Turbine Pilots Flight Manual". It's a little bit dated but gives good laymen's descriptions of major systems on jet aircraft.
