Home from training is positive space. It's lower priority than going TO training, but you get an assigned seat. Yes you can be bumped if it's oversold or something and you're on the lower, "heading home" priority. I believe deadheads home have that same priority, but I don't know for sure. Some view it as "standby," but it's positive space, where you get a seat like anyone else. You're just down there with the folks who bought on Travelocity if it comes time to bump someone.
