Lived in both. Houston a 100 times better. You can actually raise a family here vs Florida. Sure go to east Houston and yes its just as bad if not worse. But you have pockets in the city where you can live without looking over your shoulder. Florida down right awful. Do a predator search in any zip code and you will find dozens or hundreds in Florida. I have one in a 5 mile radius.

Orlando got the other half of Katrina. I love Florida its a lot of fun but raising a family there is a scary thought.
